MANILA, Philippines — Grammy-winning artist Laufey will be staying in the Philippines even longer after adding another date to her comeback show.

Live Nation Philippines previously announced that the Icelandic-Chinese singer-songwriter will be performing on May 26 and 27 at the Mall of Asia Arena as part of her "A Matter of Time" tour promoting her latest album of the same name.

Tickets to both concerts sold fast prompting Laufey and the concert promoter to announce on social media that "due to overwhelming demand," a third date will be added on May 28.

Laufey's next stop after the Philippines is Bangkok on May 31 so the singer will still have time to rest before performing for her Thai fans.

This will be Laufey's fourth time in the Philippines since her first show back in 2023 for her first-ever Asia Tour.

The three upcoming shows are nearly two years since the artist's "A Night At The Symphony" shows with the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra.

Her most recent visit was for her sold-out "Bewitched: The Goddess" Manila stop last September 2024, which also took place at the Mall of Asia Arena.

After performing as a cello soloist for the Iceland Symphony Orchestra when she was 15 years old, Laufey was a finalist on "Ísland Got Talent" and a semifinalist on "The Voice Iceland."

She graduated with a presidential scholarship from the Berklee College of Music in 2021, releasing her debut extended play "Typical of Me" the same year featuring "Street by Street," "Like the Movies," and a cover of "I Wish You Love."

Laufey has since followed it up with three more extended plays and three studio albums, the latter two "Bewitched" and "A Matter of Time," each winning the Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
